Andrew Martin’s The Moquette Mystery received a good review from the Historical Novel Society. ‘The story is intriguing with twists and turns throughout to keep the reader alert,’ wrote David Northover. ‘The characters are all plausible, even those with walk-on parts, and May is particularly attractive.’ He concluded that it was ‘great fun. Recommended.’
